I have an LE which comes with all the safety stuff and I have noticed the following malfunctions:

1) While turning left at a light in some (not all) intersections, the collision warning alarm sounds as if it thinks a crash is about to happen.
2) The other day, on the freeway, during a moderate rain, I was following the car ahead of me at about 35mph with about 3-4 car lengths. Felt like a very safe following distance. Suddenly, out of nowhere, the JT auto-slams on the brakes and sounds the same warnings. Jarred the heck out of me. This was by far the worst incident I've had in the truck so far and it could have causes a pileup if the cars behind me were following closer/faster. Pretty scary.
3) When changing into open lanes while approaching stopped traffic in my lane, the truck has once so far decided that I might crash and will slam on the brakes. I want to be clear and say that I wasn't doing this in a very tight distance and had plenty of room to make a safe lane change when this happened.

Just wanted to see if others have noticed similar malfunctions and also pull @JeepCares into this conversation in case there is a known fix for this that I should take the truck in for.

I would ask the dealer to check and recalibrate the front camera that feeds the safety system. There have also been other reports of odd behavior during the rain.

The sensors in the taillights will sound the beeper to warn of close objects when the turn signals are on. When the turn signals are off, it just flashes the lights in the corners of the mirrors.

Hi trex63,
I do not currently see any TSBs that include the symptoms you have been experiencing. If you decide to go to your dealer for a proper diagnosis, please send our team a PM. We'd be happy to connect you with a Case Specialist to assist.

They freak out if you are making a left turn from the right lane of an intersection where both lanes can turn left and there's a car next to you. It thinks you are changing lanes, not signalling a left turn from the right of two left turn lanes. Noticed the same when in the left of two right turn lanes - hit that signal and it thinks you are going to turn into a car beside you.
So I've learned to ignore those times - so far, it's worked exactly as designed.

There are settings to turn the auto braking down. On the most sensitive setting it is pretty agressive. I have mine on the middle setting and it has been fine ever since.
