WOW! thanks for taking the time to write all that up. Thats exactly what i needed to know! you sold me on looks alone, but somtimes the ride isnt worth the looks.. and simply put, if the wife approves, thats all that matters. I look forward to hearing about your next wheeling evaluation.
im also noticing you are out of San Antonio, im a bit east of you in beaumont... I would love to get some wheeling locations from you. Most people out you way go to hidden falls, but i didnt know if you have a few spots up your sleeve.. the fiance and i plan to do some camping in big bend soon. Theres not much out here other than flat white rock rice farm roads and some river bottom.

No problem. I see you're in Beaumont! I live just outside of San Antonio...we wheel Stillwaters Ranch, Hidden Falls, Trees Ranch, K2, Wolf Caves and now the new one is GSL ranch, which I've never been and will be going for the first time this weekend. You are welcome to join anytime! Headed out with a small group of 4-5 this time.

Good work! I’ve been considering the same but with chopping the factory fenders and adding aftermarket liners. Gives me hope; thanks!
I'll definitely be adding a stubby/winch and fenders...Metalcloak or similar. I won't go too crazy on this rig since I have a crawler already. I want this to be more for Overland, traveling, camping etc...

Love the color! Yeah...the 6sp in 4-Low 1st gear is crazy strong.

Youre running manual as well correct? how are you liking the 4.10's with the 37's? ive seen most everyone that re-gears is going 4.88 for 37's or 5.13 if they plan on future 38'-40's...i probably wont go over 35, but the look with your 37's has me tweaking a bit...im rolling about 17mpg city and 22-24mpg highway between 65 & 70 (flatlander).. are you able to maintain cruise in 5th or 6th?

No I'm auto with 4.10s. With 37s it rides and drives like the stock 33s. Hard to believe but it does...but tire quality does matter and KO2's are at the top of their game. I will likely regear tho, most likely 5.13s. I might go 4.88s if I can find someone and ride in theirs. I get about 17.8mpg around my house and 19-20 on the highway. I get into 8th gear but it goes down with the slightest hill.

yea that seems to be the common outcome.. now that the JT's are out an about there is alot more content out there than a couple months ago. most are running 2200rpm @ 70mph with the 4.88 regear on 37 and say they rarely fluctuate out of 8th where as before it would constantly search between 5th and 8th

Got myself a MOPAR 2” lift and bought .75” spacers to add. Anyone go bigger than that? Was really wanting 1” but couldn’t find them.
Currently running 37s, no lift.

I've actually seen the last 2, as it turns out but the first one I haven't and he makes great points. Another reason I don't like 5.13s is the pinion gear gets awfully small and they have a larger history of breaking for people that wheel them.

Thanks again for the vids.

Ditto. Plan on stubby with inlaid winch, probably chop the factory fenders with metal liners (I like Ace Engineering's simple design). Truck will be used as a truck for Home Depot runs with the periodic camping trip and long trip. No need to make it a rock crawler here in the Florida Panhandle...

Big reason I'm not lifting it is to avoid changing the vehicle's characteristics too much. It's encouraging to hear that the Mopar 2" retains that feel and may sway my decision. Not that I have a lot to tow, but I'd be interested to know if the payload is retained with the Mopar lift. I'm planning on ripping out some of the yard and making a pea gravel firepit area in the yard. The bed is going to get loaded with rocks.

I have had the mopar 2 in lift on for 2 weeks now. Now that the front has settled there is noticeable sag. Im installing a 67 pound bumper this week and possibly a winch. I ordered the teraflex 1.5 in spacers from northridge 4x4. They have them in stock. I contemplated the .75 but after reading many posts, many people are reporting losing an inch with the bumper and winch set up. I want to keep half an inch of rake from front to back in case of towing so I figured this would be the best way to go. I am also going to order the synergy adj track bar, and fox steering stabilizer for piece of mind. I don't know if its direly needed.
