My Gladiator build is coming along nicely. Recently I got a Camp King Outback Canopy Camper installed and the battery set up. I was looking at the GFC tents because I wanted to keep this build as light as possible but there were a few things that I didn't like, such as everyone was complaining about the mattress. The Camp King has a 4" mattress and is very comfortable. The other was that the Camp King was in stock. It's 340 lbs so it's not too heavy.
I also went with a Deep Cycle Systems Lithium battery with a Red Arc manager. On top I have a 180 W Merlin solar panel. The DCS Battery is nice because it connects to you phone using Bluetooth so you don't really need a display.
Next I need to make a base plate for the bed to actually mount my fridge and as a platform to build a drawer system.

Is that the factory front trail cam mounted on the bumper?

Made my own base plate for the bed yesterday. It’s not finished I still need to bolt it down. Before all that I need to do some sealing in the bed for dust and I’m thinking of carpeting the plywood. Give it a more cozy feeling. 😂
For the wood I used 1/2” Baltic birch.
on another thread on here someone recommended getting a 5’x5’ sheet but after calling all the lumber yards near me, no one had that size. So just went with 4’x8’ and it works fine.

Very nice!

I placed an order for a Lone Peak overland camper for my gladiator last week. I already have a fridge and barbecue/stove set up. Building a custom slide for it right now and hope to finish it this weekend.

Over the next couple weeks and months, I’ll put together the rest of the items I need for my build. The battery back up system, and whatever else I want to put inside of the bed.

Which AEV lift did you go with and which spring rate? 35’s or 37’s?

It’s was ordered from AEV. So it came with 37’s which means it came the 2.5” lift and suspension

Well, you’re not talking to me but I’ll chime in. I’m a bit north of Sacramento. My dad lives in the Bay though.

Be fun to do a JT meetup. I don’t have anything fancy but it would be cool to check everyone’s builds. BBQ, have a nice afternoon.

What part of CA are you from? I’m in the Bay Area, so pretty central

Oh, I thought you were in S. Cal as I saw Glendale on the license plate frame. I am in the North Bay. We should meet up!

I'd be down for a meetup. Over the hill from Sacramento.
