I am thinking about the AEV Saltra or XR for my Gladiator Max Tow and wondering about clearance with the 5.72" backspace. I just installed the Clayton 2.5" overland lift and they recommend 4.75" of backspace. They are not sure if there would be clearance issues with the AEV offset and the wider axles, because they haven't tested it. I'm sure someone on here has that setup, but didn't find any info in a search.

Any clearance issues with the bigger brakes on the Max Tow with either of these wheels?

It looks like I will be able to fit 315/70/17 under the fenders so I don't have poke. Right now I am running the wheels and tires off my old JKU which have a -12mm offset and they stick out way too far. Want to keep them under the fender to keep it legal and also drive a lot of dirt/rock roads, so help keep it clean and free from rock dings.

Will the 315/70/17 fit under the fenders with the 5.72 backspace?

I just bought a set of Savegre IIs, don’t have tires on them yet, the offset I believe is the same as the ones you are looking at which is +25, stock wheels are +44, AEV wheels are 8.5” wide vs 7.5”. I am going with either 285/75/17s or 35/11.5/17s in the next couple weeks.

Thanks for the pic. Oddly, that looks to stick out about the same as mine with -12 offset.
I may need to go with a 35"x11.5" or even 10.5" to keep them under the fenders.
