I would like to swap the front seats with Recaro or Corbeau seats. But as they do not have airbags I wonder if it can be done without problems. I would not like to have error codes on the dash for missing airbags or so. Does someone knows more about this? Has someone done this? Pictures would be welcome aswell.

Interesting question. I wonder if you could clear any codes with a tazer, etc. I had a '13 GT500 a few years ago that came with the factory bucket seats. I bought a set of Recaros with the built-in airbags that came out of another Shelby and dropped them into mine. I did have an error code, but my dealer was able to clear it.

Agreed. I just want better seats!
The airbag makes it tough as that’s not something I’d want to compromise on.

I know in the past when I replaced factory air bag seats for racing buckets we would measure the impedance of the seat airbag circuit and then fit the unused plug for the seat with an equivalent resistor to prevent air bag lights and to keep the other bags functional. Not sure how safe that is, but it kept the lights away for many many years in vw's and supposedly allowed the other bags to work as intended. If I wanted to do it now I would research much further.
