Fairly sure there is no harness from what most have checked... Also need the 8.4 Screen to utilize an aux camera. If you didn't factory order the front cam, Is the harness still installed? Any one know? Id hate to buy it and have no harness to plug it in to.
Where does the camera wire connect to in the engine bay? Has anyone figured out if its prewired for the front camera option?I took my Trail Cam out and unhooked the wiper fluid and power/output harness when I PlastiDipped my front grill.
Other than the factory interface and ability to clean, there’s about $10 worth of parts involved.
Looks like a cheap camera with a cable ran to the AV system and a port for the wiper fluid.
I can tell you Jeep is making an amazing margin on the option.
I'm not sure, but my guess is no, otherwise Z auto would have come out with a kit already, since they have a similar kit for the JL.Does anyone know if the harness is there on a Rubicon with the 8.4 and LEDs?
Is the factory cam worth is or is the z automotive a better bang for the buck? Looking at one that has everything I want (plus some extras) but the trail cam.I'm not sure, but my guess is no, otherwise Z auto would have come out with a kit already, since they have a similar kit for the JL.

I believe the factory is HD and aftermarket is not. Aftermarket actually goes into the "cargo camera" spot.Another set of questions:
Is the factory forward trail cam "HD" like the rear camera ? is the aftermarket forward trail cam "HD" ?
Hey Keller, I know this was a few months ago but did you happen to see how the fluid was routed? Is there a separate motor or is it tapped off the main fluid?I took my Trail Cam out and unhooked the wiper fluid and power/output harness when I PlastiDipped my front grill.
