if there is a thread on this i'm sorry i missed it.
if not, what are folks installing to make room for larger rubber?

i'm looking for a metal tube/flat fender look, as well as function. i plan on getting this thing dirty and messy...once it arrives.

thanks all
cheers, j-

I've been eyeballing DV8. Good price, front AND rears come in the set, and they come with LED turn signal. Fender liners are a crap shoot...they all appear to run +/- the same price, seems to be whatever your personal preference there.

thanks for the offer, i'd appreciate a couple.
if you could grab a few shots from the side that'd be awesome.
no flexing, nothing fancy, just parked somewhere flat with a profile shot of the the truck.

thanks so much for the offer! it's greatly appreciated.

cheers, j-

I only have the fronts so far. Waiting for MC to come out with the rears. No lift, 35" Duratracs.

Mjolnir,
thank you so much for taking your time and doing this for me, i appreciate it very much.
your rig and those fenders look nice. i was looking at those rims also but went with the fifteen52's, the one with the old skool steely look.

did you finish them or get the powder coat version?
i'm ordering a gator, i plan on checking with a powder coater to see if they can do a gator color. however, with the gator i think a black top and black fenders look nice also, so i may just stick with the two tone.

thanks again!
:jk:

edit: looks like the rears are out.

I got the powder coat option. I have these on my JK and LJ as well. I believe that the MC ones are the best ones on the market. I have slipped tires and slammed onto them, flipped onto my side and crashed into trees with them with my JK. Barely a scratch on them at all.

i dont think you can go wrong with MC stuff.
the other fender i'm considering are the Genright's. i like the narrowness of the GR, however, i hope to be traveling 2-7 hrs to trails in N. AZ and S. CO as often as i can and i'm concerned about the road spray with the narrow fender. all from a safety standpoint, dont care about getting dirty.

I feel you. Im assuming MC will be coming out with their overline fenders at one point or another for the gladiator. Those you can take the flair off whenever you want, so while on the road you can have the full coverage but off road take them off.

I personally like the overlands better. I still very much like the fact that I have flipped over on them and didnt have a scratch or body damage in the slightest. Dont know what other fenders out there an do that. There is prob some but I couldnt tell you which.

Do you happen to know how much these weigh? How was the install? Any cutting involved?
Couldnt tell you how much they weigh unfortunately. They are steel so they have some oomph to them. Install was easy, mainly because I have done these prior and have gotten fairly good with rivetnuts.

Zero cutting involved. There is obviously drilling (increasing hole size of existing holes or adding new ones). I added the inner fender liners as well, and they are fantastic. Probably took me about an hour and a half to do both sides. The fender liners were a bit annoying with how the front part attaches but not a big deal at all.
