Picked up my Sting Gray JTR with the all weather slush mats. Got home and noticed the front mats did not appear to fit correctly. Pulled the mats and noticed the drain hole extension on the mat would not allow the floor mats to lay flush on the carpet. Closer investigation revealed partial cuts in the carpet above the body drain port and I noticed rubber on the bottom of the mat drain hole extension. Bell ring...cut the remainder of the carpet which opens up the drain hole, remove the existing rubber drain plug, reinstall mats pushing the mat drain hole into the matching body drain port, reinstall rubber plug into slush mat. The detail/clean-up kid at the dealer apparently didn't know this, as the mats are shipped in a plastic bag from the factory, to be installed by the dealer.

For those of you picking up a JT with the all weather mats, take a quick look at the drain ports for proper fitment.

Dealership did same with mine. Either they don't know or dont care and lazy. Both are unexceptable.

Yea I think I they leave it to the customer to cut the remaining threads on the carpet. I bet someone complained and now they dont install them.

I had the same experience they just threw them in and didn't really install them as they should be. I had to do some research online to figure out what to do. I think I found an example on youtube.

The mat was able to snap down and plug the hole, so everything fit much better.

Then I plugged the opening with the rubber plug pulled from the floorboard.

My dealer actually did it right.
And gave me the little carpet pieces.

You know...there's no need to actually cut the carpet piece out. I just folded mine over on one side and it is there to fold back in place if ever needed again...
