Some came with the Webasto heater, some with the fuel pickup. I ordered an additional five since I needed some more. Got them from Vanlife Outfitters. Likely overpriced, but I didn't want to mess around.

They look like fuel injection hose clamps. I use that style whenever I'm replacing any type of rubber fuel hose because they don't cut into the hose like regular hose clamps will.

Those are nice for relatively high pressure situations, and if you need them to be removable. If you ever decide you want the clamps to be more low-profile, with fewer sharp corners to catch on things, I'm also a fan of this style of single-use crimped hose clamps. (Link is just one random example, $20 for a kit with pliers and different sizes - these are available basically anywhere). I use these for my tire hose kits. If you really need zero sharp edges anywhere, you can shrink-wrap over them too. Just some ideas

Hey folks, on a practical not, for those with the AC water tank, how do you find refilling the tank when on the road? Do you usually find a place with a water hose? Because I don't think refilling from a container is easy, given where the cap is located.

Haven't had this problem before with the Patriot Camper since the filler neck was easier to access and the thing carried 44 gallons of water ...

I do have a hose I can carry and use, but is it generally the case that I COULD even use it?

The major truck stops (Loves, Pilot, Flying J ect) usually have a potable water spigot you can use for free, you'll want to have your own hose. A lot of times its somewhere near the trucker fuel lanes. I've also seen them near the air pump station.

RV dump locations have a spigot you can use to refill for only a few dollars.

RVs usually have their own hose, as the RV fill faucets are usually around knee level. That’s gotta be the most common way

I have a short hose adapter I use for my Scepter MWCs, and I’ve been finding the RV dump and fill stations to be the most convenient

That’s what I’m thinking. I can use the same type of pump I’m using in the camper, which means it’ll be cheap (for once) and I have a spare for the installed one … it’ll be slow, but I don’t care too much about that.

We have a simple submersible pump for showering, just drop it into a bucket or jerry. It would work in a pinch. How are you planning on showering? If it's anything more than gravity feed it could be dual purpose. Here's the one I opted for but there are plenty to choose from. We also have a simple siphon, shaker siphon, in our rig but never used it. You'd have to have the jug on the roof of the rig but it would work.

for showering. We'll heat a bit of water in our kettle, mix it in a collapsible bucketm with cold water to get to a reasonably temperature and then can shower in the AluCab shower cube. We do have a small "helicoper mat" for drones, that works reasonably well as to stand on for showers.

It does work for showers, but I think for transferring water, it would be really slow. I'll probably go with my idea of the spare pump being used for this. Our system is pump only, no gravity line from the tank, so we rely on this to be working.

Was just curious how people do this, it's just something I never had to deal with on this truck. All our other systems where easier to fill (not as high and not in the camper, where you can't really tip a bucket or jerry can without spilling.

An a related note, our self designed custom aluminium parts turned out absolutely amazing :

We'll install most of them over the weekend, then the door and the heater will be DONE. ;-)
