Well..you got a spare 10mm and 1/4" wrench out of the deal. The metal gods must love all those 10mm's I have lost over the years. Why is always the 10mm!?!?!?s of crazy stuff after 5 minutes. Got home and opened the hood, there's the 10mm socket and wrench already there for me to finish the job! Just recently had the coolant system "flushed"....30 minutes later, parked and steam shooting all out of the hood....they didn't close the cap to the coolant. Just stupid stuff that distracted people would do. I'm kinda reluctant to have them do anything I couldn't go back and check......like the tr
Jam Nuts are not correct tightened ?I’m not the guy who is looking over anyone’s shoulder. I was a contractor for about 30 years all together and I think it’s a better use of my time to pay good people to do good work. But it is also a good practice to double check any work that may put you, your family or someone else’s safety at risk. So while I was installing my power steps I gave a double check of my undercarriage because I just had a lift installed and the alignment done and I noticed a few things. First picture what little things can you notice that are not quite right?

In the owners manual, Jeep says the fluid in the transmission is a 'lifetime' fill and doesn't need changed.Yeah and the manufacturer I think recommend trans service at 50k, my dealer has the service at 80k and I've read some members are thinking "lifetime"? Still procrastinating on that decision.
the mechanic insisted I order them as he couldn’t make it work without them. You can see the first attempt with the “beat to shit” end of the lower control arm…Are those alignment brackets on there along with the adjustable LCA's? Why would you do that ?
The Licktite, made my day. From now on, whenever I have to use it, it will forever be called Licktite! ? Autocorrect can be the breast sometimes!
Bingo. What you can’t see is that on the main body of the control arms there is another hole for a grease fitting to go and since it’s at a 90 there is room to get the grease gun nozzle on it no problem. So the fact that they were careless enough to end up on the bottom is just stupidity.
Geometry correcting brackets (if that's what you are referring to) may not put the caster in the range desired. (depending on the lift). Are those alignment brackets on there along with the adjustable LCA's? Why would you do that ?
