Am I crazy for debating trading my gladiator for a TRX?

Wonder if they will sell it for sticker, rare to see one so lightly optioned. Definitely a cool ride, given the choice I would take it over the JT any day.

Can't comment on personal fit for you.... but using a vehicle cost residuals guide the TRX will be worth 62% of MSRP in 3 years or a devaluation of $26.7k. A Gladiator at say $45k MSRP would lose $14.4k in value over that period... unless you bought it under invoice for less

If you have access to wide open spaces, and won't miss narrow trails, they are a super cool truck. I'd never want a full-size, but that TRX is one of the "last of the Mohicans" we'll be looking back on in twenty years when everything is BEV.

Edit to add: Also, SUPER COOL PICTURE!!

Yeah it's purely a size issue from my perspective. TRX is a really cool truck but it's just too big to do the things I want out of a Jeep. If you can live with the size go for it!

Too ways to approcah this:

1) Go with the truck which fits your application best...700HP sounds good, but the gas milage dosn't. Are you going to drag-race? Or tow a house?...Alternatively, are you using your rubicon in a way that it really "shines"/persant to what it was designed for?

2) The second way is just do WTH you wife tells you to do - usually the best strategy long-term. ;)

Where’s the debate? If you can afford it, buy it.

That is assuming you are paying your bills on time, saving for your kid’s educations and retirement.

Maybe give SC a try? Can always change it back if you decide the HP isn't enough for you....

Is money no object?
If not go for it, you only live once…..apparently.🤔
If money is a concern, we’ll consider it all, fuel, insurance, parts.
There is nothing inexpensive about the TRX.
Premium fuel too I believe.
Resale value, that’s an unknown, but I can assure you there are less TRX,s produced so maybe the value will hold better.
Locally they sell as fast as they come in.
MSRP of $125,00 CDN are selling for 150K.

They're badass. I'd probably do it too if I could but ultimately I think what's important with a vehicle like that is whether you'd hang onto it for long or not.

If Jeep ever fixes mine I’m selling it period. Thinking about buying the TRX but I’ve had so many issue with this Jeep that I’m hesitant in buying another FCA vehicle again.

Option 2 will probably win out lol. Wife made the point about I’m working from home so I never drive. I’m working 60-80hr weeks, 7 days a week for the near future and my jeep gets driven maybe once a week right now if that. Hard to spend that much money on something I won’t get to enjoy.

MetaJalopnik update from 2052 - Barn Find TRX from 2021 with 2,378 miles, all original!

Bring a Trailer - TRX sells for $4.23M at auction, ahead of 2022 Ford Raptor R with 209 miles at $4.01M.
