My question is how do these work with the doors removed? Or do they?

How much abuse would they take. If you actually used them as a rock rail or slider will they still function.

The Gladiator looks alot cleaner without running boards or step bars imo. These look great and I want it but damn it's pricey.

I'm assuming this doesn't fit with the rubicon rails? Does it use one of the auxiliary switches?

Old rails come off and these replace them. When you open the door these open up and close the door they retract.

Supposedly you can use them as rock sliders also.

There's a bypass switch that can toggle them, an extra accessory purchase I believe.
They don't recommend them as rock sliders like the RSE ones. These function way better as a step imo. Looks nice.

Question: I recently had them installed and was curious about yours....

Do you have any cabin noise while driving? squeaking etc... mine kinda squeak/crack

Do they sit flush along the body or do they flare out a bit towards the truck bed?

I've shared a pic of mine

I just installed the AMP steps that are specific for the Gladiator and I’m disappointed that the don’t have the hidden look of the XL steps. Here are some pics!

I would have some Bedliner sprayed on the sheet metal under the edge & call it a day - looks great! They are adapting a universal step design to dozens of body styles - if they were to make it sexy-custom-fit they would cost a LOT more. If we’re nit-picking aesthetics, I gotta say those mud flaps are ‘eye-catching’ to say the least ;)

I agree with you, for the price (almost $2500) they should be a better fit. I don't like that gap at all. I have been contemplating between these and RSE and I prefer the right fit of the RSE and the rock sliding capability with the breadth and width of these AMP steps. LOL I want a fusion of these two.

I guess I am just going to wait for their next version of RSE and hope that it is wider and is more of a custom fit for the JT. I don't believe it is nit-picking at all to have a custom solution for the JT when you are paying $2500-$3000 for a piece of metal with a small motor.
