2023 Willys, 13k miles. Just noticed the remnants of water drops on the inside of the rear window and obvious streaking. Going to go by the dealer tomorrow and start a warranty claim.

Hoping they’ve changed the window design to fix this problem.

Good luck. You're past the 12 month, 12k mile warranty on it. Hopefully your dealer fights for you or just eats the cost.

Oh dang, there’s a separate warranty for windows? That’s nuts. Here’s hoping.

I would still take it in. Plenty of people had it covered under the 3/36K warranty because it was usually the frame cracking and not the actual window itself. My 2020 Rubicon had 24K miles on it when I took it in. They can get it approved by Stellantis if they word it right.

Dealers that are using the 12/12K language are being dicks because glass is scary and they do not want to deal with it.

Best bet is to put rubber tubing in around the window. It will save u time and hassle. Utube jt rear window leak, plenty of videos. The problem is to replace the have to cut the window out of the top. Even when they replace it, the new will do the same thing given time. The frame around the window crack probably from the flex and stress the top gets from driving. There is the chance they will mess up cutting the window out and have to replace the top. Probably a 4 to 6 week wait on the top depending on black or color matched. Did the rubber tubing 4 years ago and have not had a problem since.

Yeah, I called this AM and had them confirm for me-falls under the 12/12 warranty. Since this is the dealer I trust I’m just going to leave it at that and do the tubing fix. There is another dealership in town but I wouldn’t take anything to them unless I was planning on getting rid of it 🤣

I’d be surprised if we don’t see a recall eventually.

The silver lining to all of it is that in my case the track for the window caught anything that came in, so it hasn’t been going for too long.

I tried to do the silicone tube fix proactively on my new-ish '24 (no signs of leaking yet, though). Weirdly, I couldn't for the life of me get the tubing in all around the window. I tried starting from the bottom at the middle and I could get some in, but it wasn't staying and it was taking what felt like way too much pressure/effort. It was literally rubbing my finger prints off - that's how much friction was being generated trying to push it in - I had blisters for days. And yes, I used water and dish soap to try to lubricate it to make the install easier.

Then I tried to start from the top instead and the tubing just flopped in with no pressure at all. It was way too loose and not "sealing" anything. The gap on the top edge of the window is significantly larger than the gap on the bottom edge. My Amazon order says the tubing I used is 7mm OD 3mm ID. For now I gave up and am just keeping an eye on it. It's seen a ton of rain since it lives outside, and so far so good 🤞

*Edit - I'm seeing in another thread that people don't usually do the bottom edge of the glass, which I guess is my mistake for even trying, so maybe the size difference between top and bottom is totally normal. That said, the gap at the top for me, was way too big for 7mm hose. Maybe I'll try something larger if this becomes an issue in the future...
