Just what it says. Looking to make me some rock rails, maybe more if it goes well. I’ve never bought bumpers or anything before I have always made my own. Everything is cheaper and more readily available for the JT than my WJs or my last nissan. Anyway, if you’re fabbing what ya got??

I do not have any pics to show but I bobbed my last rock crawling daily driver an 84 toyota pickup and I am working out the details to put my gladiator under the knife. Just got it 3 weeks ago and I am busy putting on the lift, rack etc first but then its time to improve this departure angle!

I am working on a winch plate and front bumper. But the only thing I have to post a picture of would be a really large piece of steel and some drawings.

I hope to have it done in a couple of weeks. I typically make what I can.

I'm looking into making a set of sliders very soon. Just not sure if I should mount them directly to the frame like the old days or body mounts like so many do now.

I'm going to do a frame mount. It would be stronger, in my opinion.

Since I haven't found skids for a diesel yet, I'll likely be making my own. I made a belly skid for my old WJ, and it was all 1/4" steel which was strong, but HEAVY :/

Old thread I know but all I could find on this topic. Did you ever come up with a skid for the spare?
