I searched but didn't find anything.

I posted this in another thread, but its unique enough that I thought i would start another in case others have seen or have used this hole themselves.

Far back corners of the bed, you can see daylight. I haven't gotten up into the truck to see if the bottom hole is threaded, but has anybody successfully mounted an eyelet back there for rigging stuff?

My 2 D rings in the back I had to take out when I installed some bed drawers (project not done yet, :CWL:) so I need another spot to winch from to pull deer up PLYWOOD onto my bed.

If you have photos/links of this hole being used, please post em. And don't go posting up sexual stuff, please, think of the children! :giggle::lipssealed::puke:

do you know of a specific one that uses that hole, is it the mopar one? Wonder if something just sticks into it to align something, or if they actually secure it from both sides.

ohh, just saw this. So the bottom hole is threaded. I'll have to investigate the backside of the top hole. see if its accessible at all.

I also think it was a tonneau bracket mounting location. Some owners reported the hole was empty and others indicated it was threaded (do not know if is a nut welded in place, backing plate etc.)

It has been mentioned that you can get a bolt in the hole and (with some difficulty)a nut on the back. Or use a rivnut and thread in whatever you want.

Late to the party, but.

The bottom threaded hole is M8x1.25, the top hole is a guide, they are used by the factory tonneau cover.

DUH, i forget rivnuts exist sometimes. That might be a good option for me. Maybe even drill the hole slightly bigger for a bigger rivnut!

Go rivnut that hole!
