I have a Sport S, it came with the 245/75 r17. I initially upgraded to some 285/70 r17 (33”) BFGoodrich KO’s and liked the look but wanted to go bigger but not wider. I decided on 285/75 R18 (35”) Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac. Found some used 2019 Sahara 18” wheels cheap and had the new tires mounted. I really like the look of the large narrower tires. There is absolutely no rubbing although I did have to trim the plastic bumper to fender filler (real pain, overkill on the screws). I trimmed those and put them back in to cover fog light recess. The new tires are only 11.25” wide and don’t stick out beyond fenders. I have a 6 speed manual and actually find it feels better on the 35” verses 33”. But I plan on towing so a regear is in my future though.
I have included pics with factory, 33” and lastly 35”

Thoughts?

That's the size I'm planning on running. Not until I can find a lift of about 3" I like though. Looks great but for off road use disconnected on a Sport S I imagine there would be some pretty good rubbing. Thanks for the pictures! I can't decide between the duratracs or Cooper AT3 XLTs.

That looks fantastic. I am taking delivery of overland hopefully this week and have Cooper AT3 in exact same size; I may put on a level which I have also but not completely sure yet. Either way- it looks very good in my opinion; perfect size.

Why 18” rims? Can you get a “C” rated tire or even a “D” rated tire?
You’ll hate “E” rated tires. Way to harsh with a light truck.

Thanks, I’m considering a 1” front level kit. I don’t mind the look right now though.

It was one of the only ways to get the height with narrow footprint. I actually had same Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac size 315/70 r17’s on my JKU and liked the ride. And as a matter of fact these feel better on the Gladiator.

Not to worried about rubbing, my off-roading is minimal. 4WD will be used mostly in winter on mountain roads. I am considering a 1” level kit for front end. Love the feel of duratracs, had them on my JKU and found the ride smooth and not too noisy. Worked great in the winters. As a side I’m still getting 20 mph on the highway with the new tires

I think the 75 ratio is perfect for a vehicle that sees off-road and off-road duty.

Here’s a pic of my last F-150 with 285/75R18s

285/75r18 Cooper AT3 XLT. Aside from tint it’s my only change. Returning my level kit because it doesn’t rub at all so planning to maintain stock suspension. Cooper has an awesome aggressive tread. Love em.

Are you running these with stock height or are you lifted at all?
Running stock height and stock front bumper. Sport S with Max Tow Package is completely stock with the exception of the Falken Wildpeaks 285 75 R17.
