Anyone have pictures or opinion on this set up? I’m thinking of going with the 33” I have now with 2.5” lift until budget permits new 35’s and wheels. Any opinion or help on how everyone thinks this would look feel free to share.

If you're keeping stock wheels, do a 285/75-17. Mine are a 34.1" tall tire when new (35's are roughly 34.5-34.75) but are narrow enough for stock wheel width. I have the Mopar lift which netted me 2.5" of lift. I think it looks good.

When these tires are done I plan on doing Rubicon fenders and 37's with new wheels.

That looks good.
I currently have 275/70 on my 18” stock wheels. They come out to like 33.2x11.2.

You have an Overland? They may look a little small, but not terrible.

Yea an Overland. I’d be happy for awhile if it comes close too looking like yours.
Should be really close. Just go for it!

A 2.5" lift with 33's...... Why? JTR's come stock with 33's, most folks fit 35's with no lift. And most folks run 37's with a 2.5" lift.

I agree with that, i'd wait till the 35s to lift it. I have the same tire size on my Overland that he does on his, 275/70/18, which is an over sized 33 and its about 1/2" bigger than stock Rubicon tires. Still, I think mine would like terrible with 2.5" lift and the tires I have now. I has a pretty good stance now and looks way better than the stock 255/70/18s all seasons that came on it.

I would wait and go 35's and just add a 1.5" leveling kit under the front. Or, get a set of used take-off set of front & rear Rubicon springs & Fox shocks, toss in a 1" front spacer, and run the 33's, then when they're done, toss on a set of 35x12.50's and call it good. Maybe do the Rubicon front fender upgrade for more clearance.

My Rubicon came with 33”. My plan was to go 2.5” with 35” and at the last minute changed my mind to 37”. I’m very happy that I did. Given the Rubicon fenders are higher, my recommendation would be to wait and go up a size to 35” for yours.

Are the Rubicon fenders higher than his Overland fenders? I know the Overland Fenders are bigger than on the Sports. The stock Overland tires are a lot bigger than the stock Sport tires, but they still look as ridiculous as the sports because of the larger fenders.

Yes, the Rubicon fenders are about 1.5" higher than all the other JT model fenders.

Overland Left vs. Rubicon Right...
