Is that L-track?
It appears to be. Wonder how well the holes on it lined up with the holes in the bed. OP any input on it. What size bolts did you use to attach it to the bed?

I posted thread sizes here

Trail Rail system bolts are M6x1.0 (4 per side and 4 along the front) this does not include the nut certs on the sides near the top of the tailgate. The front corner bolts use by the factory tonneau cover are M8x1.25. Hope this helps, length of bolts depends on your project.

The stuff is called S Line O Track. Unfortunately the holes don't line up. I drilled and countersunk to the Jeep hole pattern. I found the screws at ACE Hardware, they are 6MX1, the stock thread for the Jeep rail system. I would have preferred to use the O Track holes but didn't have the tool to install the rivnuts.

Great Job. Maybe remove, scuff and put a coat of black on it, if paint will hold up?? Thanks for the DIY Nick!!

Well done. I figured L-track should fit right in there. For a low-key look, you can get it black, too. For mounting stuff, you can get aluminum (cheap!) or 304 Stainless Unistrut. Several sizes of structural aluminum t-slot would work well, too.

I used the black anodized L track from US Cargo. I believe they’re listed under the motorcycle tie down kits. I had to drill and 82deg countersink all but 2 holes. It turned out nice and like you I spent around $175ish. I like the options they have for fasteners. I’m using the treaded stud ones to fasten a bed rack.

What size pipe did you use, and how well did it work out? I am contemplating something similar though not as high, too mount a roof top carrier from a car.

That's not my truck. I am still trying to choose a cover! Leaning on the rugged ridge soft roll up. I was trying to get info on the rack he has!
