On my all black Mojave, sticks out a little. Curious if anyone did anything to theirs to change up the look?

pic for attention

I sanded mine and rattle-canned it matte black. Almost a year later and it still looks great.

I would wonder how something like Por-15 would hold up.
Used it on my gas tank skid on the old K20 Burban.

Kind of what I was thinking. You have a pic?

I removed the skid plate and then used 1967 Corvette engine orange, just sprayed it over the factory gray, no prep. Then, I sprayed clear water proof "Flex Seal" spray sealer (get at Lowe's etc) over the orange. I repeated these steps about 5 times over about an hour. I let it dry for a few hours then put it back on the Jeep. In over a year, driving all over from the beach to the desert to the mountains and back,, it's not nicked, scratched or come off. The Flex Seal gives the orange a little bit of a texture that I like too.

I used GOOP Coat-It Waterproof Epoxy Sealer & Protector as we use this on our white water rafts and boats. Bedliner-like consistency but has ceramic beads for abrasion resistance and graphite to give it a 'slippy' surface for sliding over rocks. Also with Kevlar fibers for strength. It works great on the boats and rafts, but no data if it makes any difference when water is not involved. But for me at least, it is already sitting on the shelf, happy with the performance and rated paintable with just a light sanding. As always YMMV.

Well........when I had my JT undercoated by Ziebart. They did the skid plate too. I don't even want to think about painting it now.

VHT satin black would work well.
One of the Eagles I worked on, we powder coated the front skid plate.
The plate on my own SX4 is painted.
I was thinking if I wanted to do mine I'd probably go powder, otherwise something like VHT epoxy paint.
On the other hand, a crinkle finish does hide any imperfections or scratches better.

I will need to refinish mine since I cut it to go around the front receiver.
