I bought the narrow version for my Overland Diesel, but the threads are showing little over an inch. I've reached out to Chris at Apex and he thinks that's because i have the wide axle. They are sending out the center rod for the wide axles (rubi, mojave).

For those with Apex tie rod. How much threads are exposed on your narrow or wide axles, and center rod length? Center to center tie rod length would be great info too. Thanks in advance.

I will be under my rig tomorrow, I'll measure and let you know. I'll be installing my flip kit from apex.

I have little to no treads showing. At first I thought it wasn’t going to be enough adjustment.

You're correct, Overland and Sports should comes with narrow axles, and my build sheet also supported that as well. I'm wondering did Jeep installed Max Tow axles on mine by error, or it's a diesel oddball lol.
Probably incorrectly marked piece.

Updating this post for the future folks that might having questions regarding the threads showing or engagement with the narrow axle and Apex's tie rod setup.

The width difference between narrow vs wide axles is 1.5", 3/4" on each side. The wide version (rubi/mojave/max tow) tie rod from Apex is 42", but the narrow version is only 39.5". That's 2.5" shorter, therefore it will have an extra 1/2" of threads showing and 1/2" less of threads engaged on each side. Ideally, the bar should be 40.5" instead of 39.5".

Useable threads on the bar is 3-5/8", but just 2" of TREs threads are engaged.

Apex's with narrow axle = 2" TREs threads engaged and showing 1".

Apex's with wide axle = 2.5" TREs engaged and showing 1/2".
