Just curious, did you figure out why yours has the wide axles then?
I measured my neighbor's Rubi and confirmed that mine has narrow axles. Reason why i have 1/2" more threads showing is because the tie rod bar is 2.5" (39.5") shorter than the Rubi one (42").

They all have steel knuckles? I thought there was something all diesels got..

Apex has great customer service!
Received the wide axle connecting rod from Apex and completed the install today. Much better with 3" of threads engaged. Still has enough threads for up to 3/4" toe-in adjustment.

Note: Connectting rod measured 39.5" for narrow and 41.5" for wide axle.
