Are Falken WildPeak MT 35 x 12.5 17 Worth Buying?

Hey all, ordering tires for when my Jeep moves from "D" jail. I just noticed that Amazon & Walmart are both selling these tires for less than $210 each. Walmart will mount for $25 with lifetime rotate/balance and road hazard.

So for $235ish, I'm thinking about getting the tires. I figure if Jeep decided that they were good enough to go on the Rubicon, than they are most likely good enough for me. Am I wrong with that thinking, or better yet for this price can I go wrong?

Just to follow up, I ordered them from Walmart and they will be here tomorrow. I dropped off the Mopar faux bead lock rim to get powder coated red this morning. So unless I find one locally these rims and tires are now going to be waiting for my Jeep to be completed.

I think you will be ok with the Wildpeak MTs as far as quality is concerned. They are a little bit more on the heavy side at 79.6 pounds. The Mopar faux beadlocks should be light enough to help offset some of the extra weight that the tires bring with them. I really like the Mopar faux beadlocks. They are a sharp looking wheel and will look great with the painted beadlock trim ring. Be sure to post pictures when you can.

I am looking at the Mopar beadlocks as well. Thinking about powder coating white or red to go on my Bright White Overland. Looking @ 35 Nitto terra grappler, general grabbed with red letters, or BFG KO2. More mods, more money and more problems!! Oh, going RC 2 1/2 lift.

I ended up paying $40 a wheel to have the clear coat and powder coat removed and re-powder coated Red.

LoL I just checked the weight on FedEx and it scared me for a sec...

Just realized after looking at the shipping label that they were shipped as 150lbs each. Obviously they are heavy but not that heavy.

I have only bought Falken's for about 5 years now. I broke on the trail with my JKU and the Falken guys were behind me. They welded my mount back on and fed me a burger.

Unfortunately, I still do not have the Jeep... It is in transit from Ohio to Pennsylvania BUT I leave for vacation on Wednesday so no mounted pictures yet. The tires are even cheaper now on Wally Worlds site.

Keep an eye on Amazon as well. WM and Amazon usually price match each other almost right away automatically. You will see the prices are usually the same. I bought my set on Amazon before they increased the price.

Wheels and Tires are on, local chain tire shops would not touch these.

They were all concerned about the tires being too big and/or messing up the rims with their machines.

So I got suckered in to paying a performance shop $250 to do the job. They were able to get them perfectly balanced though.
