Everytime it start my Gladiator it has a message that shows on the dash saying Aux Switches temporarily unavailable Battery charging. It's a 2023 Mojave that I ordered and has about 12,000 miles. Also for the past 6 months or so the stop start hasn't worked and the message always says Not Ready. Are these related? I figure the stop start is off the Aux Battery and Aux switches would be off the main battery. I hate stop start so not upset about it not working but just wondering if the Aux switch issue is something I need to check on. Or is there something I should check .
Thanks

Yes, they are related. The aux battery provides voltage stability while the main battery provides starter power.

When the system detects that the battery or batteries need charging, it will disable things like the aux switches and ESS to eliminate power draw.

Bad battery(s). Should be covered under warranty at that mileage. If you take it to the dealer they should replace without charging you anything. When this happened to me they said there was something else that went bad along with the batteries that had to do with charging, i wish i remembered what it was but I wasn't really paying attention and of course they didn't give me paperwork or update my service records for the service.

Ok, thanks so much. I'll take it to the dealer and see what's going on.

Make sure they replace both batteries, or the beat will go on...

They'll only replace both batteries if both are indeed bad. Dealer service departments are required by mothership Stella to check out the batteries on a fancy tester, and only when they fail on said tester will a warranty replacement be authorised. One fails the tester, you get one new battery. Both fail the tester, you get both replaced. Both manage to pass the minimum required performance after being fully charged, you go home with the same two you came in with.

That is what I'm dreading . The smallest of issues takes my dealership 4-5 days.
Mine was out of warranty so i just pulled the trigger. Easy enough to do myself. I did have to take the tire off and lower the passenger side so i could lay on my back and still reach the battery tray but easy either way. Just not on the wallet

I'm having the same issue with a 2022 Gladiator Rubicon Diesel with just over 15k miles. I started getting that error in the summer of 2024 and noticed my auto stop/start wasn't working anymore. It wasn't a big deal at the time as I also am not a fan of the stop/start. In December of 2024 (when the cold showed up), I noticed the remote start wasn't working as well. I did some research and ended up just replacing the auxiliary battery. Even though it was still under warranty I didn't want to give up the vehicle for 2-3 days at the dealer. It would have cost more for the rental than the aux battery. The new aux battery fixed the remote start issue but the error didn't go away.

Today I replaced the main battery with a Duralast Platinum 850 cca from Autozone. They tested the Mopar main battery and said it was fine but tried clearing the error with their diagnostics machine and it wouldn't clear. The Mopar batter was made in Jan of 2022. Right after the swap, the error came on again but we'll see if it continues. I suppose my next step is to take it to the dealer and have them check the alternator and fuses. There shouldn't be any parasitic draw as I haven't done anything to the vehicle yet. It's still bone stock.

It was a big deal at the time. You just didn't know it. At this point, nothing done previously matters.

At this point, you have probably done a little research and have learned more about your Jeeps batteries. If I were in your shoes, I would get a couple of basic tools, like a volt ohm meter and an AGM charger. Start by isolating the two cables at main negative post. Take them off of the top plate. One is your Aux neg and the other is your fender ground. Don't let them touch anything or each other. Charge both batteries fully. There is no need to remove either battery. Your positive charge cable connects to the main battery post. There is no need to disconnect anything here. The negative charge cable will connect to the main battery negative post. When it has finished, simply move the negative charge cable to the Aux negative cable, one of the cables that you removed and isolated. While the batteries are charging, disconnect the IBS connector from the negative post of the main battery. You will reconnect this as your last step. When you have finished charging each battery wait 30 minutes and read the voltage level while they are still isolated. You are looking for 12.8vdc or better. Reconnect the aux negative cable to the main negative top plate and then reconnect the fender ground to the main negative top plate. Reconnect the IBS sensor connector.

An additional step would be to test your fuse array. If errors do not go away. Battery replacement at the auto parts store is like getting a root canal at a dental school. It may or may not turn out well.

Mine did the same thing except I only got message 1 time. 2 days later, totally dead. 2022 with just under 39,000 miles. Waiting to talk to dealer to see if they will cover. Bought with just over 2,000 and was a demo so my warranty was until 38,000 miles.
