The auxiliary battery died in my 2020 Gladiator. Is there a way to only replace the main car battery and not replace the auxiliary at all? I hate the auto stop feature. Or do we need it to power other parts of the car? TIA for any help or advice. Money is tight and I don’t want to spend over $700 to replace both. : (

You can replace either one independently but the main is probably on borrowed time. Of course there’s always the option to delete the aux. there’s a ton of threads on that subject though.

You don't need to spend $700 for batteries. You can get buy without the Aux battery, you just need to remember to press the ESS button on the dash every time it is started.

Just delete the aux battery. Too many articles and videos out there on how to do it. You can use Tazer or Jscan (cheaper and just as effective) to disable (not eliminate) the ESS. But if you wan't an even cheaper option to disable, just get a $30 module from Amazon. But, if you want to do more in the future, get jscan.

But, I would just delete it so you will only have to worry about one battery in the future. Also, I would keep a spare z fuse array and canbus connector in your jeep. Just a tip.

Highly recommend deleting the Aux battery if you do not use the ESS
