It's something I have been kicking around. Definitely takes a backseat to some of the other plans I have though. Have to make the wife happy first if I want to keep spending money.Anyone else out there plan on adding auxiliary fuel to their JT? My plan is either a bed mount if I decide on 35" tires, or a spare tire mount if I go with 37"s.
Depends on the vehicle. One of mine is a 22 gallon and the other is a 16.This may be a silly question. Why have fuel tanks shrunk to twelve or fifteen gallons? Or have they? Thanks in advance.

I would like a custom auxiliary fuel tank over the truck box fender flare. That would be awesome!Roam built an extended capacity fuel tank for the JL: https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/roam-jl-extended-capacity-fuel-tank.25771/

they'll just have to make them thinner OVER the fender, but can make them as wide as the wheel arch at the bottom where they meet the bed. This way you can still have a decked setup or whatever UNDER the plywood. With a plywood slot?
I know one of the issues with going with a larger replacement tank is be able to adjust the fuel tank size in the computer. Fairly recently, when someone wanted a 55 gallon replacement, the computer would freak out if the gauge set at full for too long and would drop fuel reading to empty. Plus it messes up your fuel mileage and dte reading. That's the main reason I'm more interested in a auxiliary tank with a transfer pump.Roam built an extended capacity fuel tank for the JL: https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/roam-jl-extended-capacity-fuel-tank.25771/
