what is the primary difference between the regular sport axles and the max tow heavy duty/rubicon axles? What makes it heavy duty? Thanks!

From what I could gather from the specs and research; Axle is 1.5 inch wider and has thicker walls in the axle tubes themselves. Best I can tell they are the same as the Rubicons but with out the locker. The internals (ring and pinion, bearings) "should" be the same on all of them. I don't understand why you can't order the limited slip with the Max Tow.

I just bought a Max Tow and the limited slip or whatever Jeep calls it is part of the Max Tow now, build date was 7/20

Yup. Anti-spin diff is now part of the max tow package.

Lockers not withstanding, I believe the only difference is the max tow/rubicon is 1.5 inches wider total, not any difference in axle or axle shaft thickness.

I seem to remember one of the tech sheets stating that the wide trrack axles had tube wall thickness increased to .4"
