I had my jeepiversary on Monday. By far the funnest vehicle I've owned, and not coincidentally the most miles I've put on a vehicle in a year.

You got me beat by one day and 1k!
Where'd you get yours? I flew from Orlando to Philadelphia. Put 1200 miles on it in the first 3 days!

That's an impressive start. I bought mine at a local dealer in Vegas. I wasn't even planning on jeep shopping last year but I are Columbus Day off and didn't realize it, so I was out cruising in my Tacoma and thought I'd stop by the jeep dealer just for fun. My wife wasn't exactly happy when I came home with the Gladiator, but it's been amazing.

That's quite a surprise! Is she as enthusiastic now that a year has gone by?

I have my wife to thank for the hood decal. I was gonna get a Sport. Glad I took her Jeep shopping with me! (And no, that's Mom in pic, lol.)

Nice! I got mine at Chapman as well and couldn't be happier. The whole experience was easy as can be. Not quite at a year yet, but 9 months in I just hit 15K. I have a trip planned for the keys in January which is the same week it will turn 1 - expect to be fully past 20K miles by then which will also be a record for me. Normally avg around 18K a year.

By the way, nice color choice.
Roger that. At the time I had 2 non-negotiables: It had to be blue, and it had to be a diesel. I think now I could make due without the diesel but not the blue! I love that color. We've always had green vehicles so this was a switch.

Those guys were great though I get the impression they're out of the volume discount game these days. They had us in and out in about an hour and that included the test drive. No hassle, no surprises, no bull! Great communication the whole way through.

Haha, she wasn't actually too upset, mostly just surprised that I left for a quick drive for something to do and came home with a different vehicle. She really likes the JT, and surprisingly really likes the sound and torque of the diesel. Not that she ever gets to drive it, but likes how it feels/sounds from the passenger seat.

Yeah, I think they're down to 3% off the invoice, but I think it's purely because they're not hurting for customers. I was talking to the one guy helping us and he said they're a top 5 or 10 SRT dealer in the country and that week I was there he sold 36 392s Wranglers and had one being shipped to WA state that same day. So yeah, they move some vehicles.

You must've been considering the Gladiator before that though, right?

I'd always been a Ford pickup guy and respected jeeps, especially the Scrambler which came out in my high school years and when I first saw the Gladiator I fell in love. Never thought it'd be a reality and wouldnt've until I was doing a job for a friend who had one and after sizing up the baby bed, convinced myself that I could work out of the back of it.
