Back up camera glare from license plate lights

When I back up during the night I get a glare on the camera from the 2 license plate lights. Anyone else have this issue?

I went the tazer route. fixed that and speedo corrected and the stop / start deactivated

Tazer solves it! Very worth the purchase. Not only can I run 37” tires with 4:10 gears and strong shift points to let the JT cruise 75 even 80 if I wanted to, I can tow my 21 foot car hauler without a problem, hardly know it is there, and (run on sentence I know) when I back the trailer up in the pouring rain in pitch black I can see through the rear camera without the blinding license plate lights! Oh and since I have changed all lights to LED, just bulbs in tail lights for now… waiting 2.5 months so far for Oracle tail lights to arrive… everything works as it should.

your first mod IMOP should be a Tazer or Taser however y’all want to spell it… just buy it!

I used the sheet stuff and cut my own filters.

Never noticed it when I had stock bumper. After market bumper with after market lights is non issue.

I hit them with some plasti dip I had on hand which has just a bit of translucency to it after a few layers.

Also you can upgrade the reverse light bulbs to LEDs. Throwing more light back there helps the camera a ton.

I hear ya, very poor design, and placement of License plate lights. I think I'll go to one, just above the plate. I'm just waiting to see if I need to get a new rear bumper.

I have a Tazer and it fixes the issue by turning the tag light off when put in reverse.

Tag bolt lights. Had to make a harness from the factory plug.
More and better light on the ground.
