Just installed this cover yesterday morning. Install was smooth, and so far I love it. Has a T-slot in the rail so I'll be able to mount a rack without interfering.

Curious to know what sort of info you find regarding compatible racks that don’t interfere with opening/closing the cover. I needed something sooner rather than later and was told I could only go with low profile racks in the x4s t slots. I went with Rhino Rack vortex bars. They look slick, functioned perfectly with our RTT, and are easy to take off when not loaded, however; not being able to roll/unroll the cover when loaded is a tad annoying. I’ve reached out to @yakima about the outpost a few times but haven’t gotten any response.

Yep, and I didn't even get the correct instructions.

For any others out there yet to install, these are what you want.... mine came with generic instructions that were for a different truck:

I wish it had the directions where it had outlines of the appropriate bolts, etc. so I wouldn't have to guess if I was using the correct one. The cover was defective and the replacement is here. Pretty obvious once you've done it once.

I'm looking to do something like the Xtrusion-Overland XTR1 with custom mounting brackets, or make my own with the same material. This is the Xtrusion-Overland one.

Sure thing, although I don't imagine any problems with any. It has a decent weatherstripping all the way around.

funny question but does the cover require you to have it unlocked or in the open position to close the tailgate?

No, this cover doesn’t interfere with the tailgate closing at all. I open and close the tailgate all the time with this tonneau cover in locked position.

I installed mine yesterday. It rained today and I noticed some water at the rear of the bed on both sides.

Install was easy after I figured out the directions. Wished they made a video, think it would be easier to follow along.

My initial impressions are the quality control isn’t the greatest (not up to my expectations for an American made product). I was missing two washers and had to run to Lowe’s (this has been an ongoing issue for a while and they still haven’t fixed it yet); there’s were some (very minor) paint imperfections on the rails; the aforementioned leaking; and finally, the rubber seal that runs down the sides sticks out about 1-1.5 inches in the rear on both sides, it just looks awkward. Did anybody trim theirs?

I talked with Alan at Xtrusion-Overland, and we are looking at coming up with a custom mounting solution for the X4s rail. I'm thinking just adding another piece of extrusion along the bed rail and attaching that to the rail on the cover. Then mounting the rack directly to that.
