Right now I've got a "soft top" tonneau, but because of some of the items that occasionally go in my bed, I REALLY want to move to a "hard top" tonneau. Well, I also had the bright idea of getting a bed rack as a way to carry the wifes' and my bicycles when we go camping. Now, what I'm looking at for these items are:
The Line-X, if nothing else, has the fact that I can get it locally and installed for about the same price as a BAK Revolver, the JCR is nice because while it'd be a drive, they're in my state and I'd be supporting a Michigan business.

BUT...
I also suspect, just from watching one of the JCR videos about their rack and tonneau covers, that I might not be able to roll up the Eclipse, or possibly even install it, if I have one of their bed racks. Plus, my concern with a bed rack is going to be the weight, seeing as we tow a camper with ~450lb tongue weight (which, once we also add in the wife and I, well, I'm down to around 250lbs of free cargo weight, and I still haven't added in the gas and gear in the bed.) Now, some of the tongue weight would go away with the bikes carried on / in the Jeep, as we normally put them on a tongue-mounted bike carrier, so that tongue weight would drop at least 100lbs or so.

So, anyone with experience with the combination I'm looking at, regardless of brand of bed rack / tonneau cover? Am I better off just not getting the rack at all?

The Bak Revolver is a good setup to add a rack to, mostly because they have the T slots integrated into the cover vs stuffing a bracket in-between the cover and the bedside! Adding a rack with the LineX cover shouldn't be too hard either, but it won't be quite as seamless as the Revolver. To get a cover like that to roll up, you'll likely need something with vertical sides similar to our products. You'll want to get at least a 12" rack in order to roll up the cover easily. Our 12.5" T slot rack would do well, and we have installers in MI I'd be happy to connect you with! We are based in Pittsburgh, so not too far away! We'd love to help if any of our products interest you!

This truck has a RollnLock cover, but the version I mentioned would be very similar to this in terms of height and mounting to a T slot.

I have a JCR rack and gator hard trifold. A roll or quad fold should be fine. The hard cover rails don't sit flush without a little modification to let the JCR rack mounts through.

The main problem is the trifold can't fold all the way back. But I also modified mine so who knows
