I bent the passenger rear swaybar link at Windrock this past weekend. I’m putting a Rockkrawler 3” Adventure-X lift on in December. Will I be ok until then or should I replace it now?

lol, I bent about 6 or those... Finally switched to the Rock Jock antirock rear sway bar and it has been fantastic. Personally, I have driven with bent ones for quite a while without feeling anything on the road. Note: The tab at the top connected to the frame can be destroyed by a hard hit on the links, so, you do not want that to happen. I guess you could loosen it up to make sure the tab does not get tweaked, but, you will hear noises from the rear. Yours is not bent that bad, I have bent mine much, much worse.

Metalcloak makes a reenforcement kit for the rear sway bar link to frame connections. It is better to install it before the frame mount breakes. Lots of them have broken, including one of mine.

I have the Synergy links and the sway bar will bend before they do.

My generic links must have been made of unobtainium 😂

links are still straight as an arrow, but both sides ripped right out of the mounts. Metalcloak came through for me but too little too late.

Nothing wrong with a little curve.
Old picture and the links have been replaced with EVO links now.

I just finished replacing mine with the RockJock following a bent link. Drove a bit funny cuz mine was much much worse. You could be fine until you fix.

I just picked up a pair of those two weeks ago. They're beefy for sure.

Put the link in a vise and straighten it, till you replace it.

Note: If you must keep the stock setup, and not spend the cash on a Rock Jock antirock, make the adjustable links shorter so that the sway bar arm is not parallel to the ground. This will put a slight up angle to the sway bar arm and help it slide off the rocks better without bending the link. I know all the directions say to make the sway bar arm parallel to the gound, but, this increases the odds of bending the link....

I did the same, and also after I messed up the mounts. This is a Jeep engineering problem. Those are not spot welded nuts like I had read. They use rivnuts that pre pressed into a think steel bracket that is spot welded on the bottom. Absolute joke of a solution and I am disappointed. But the Metalcloak brackets are awesome and really beef that area up.
