Hey all, looking for some recommendations on the best beach to visit where I can take in some ocean views and also have access to a bike trail on the beach. HB comes to mind, can back into a parking spot and enjoy the scenery, also have access to a trail. Any other spots in SoCal that come to mind?

Huntington, Newport, and Seal Beach are all great for that. Also look into Carlsbad if you want to go further south

The usual suspects, I figured. So no place to actually drive onto the beach in SoCal right?

You can drive on the beach in Pismo Beach but that's Central CA.

Seal Beach is great as is the beaches up past Zuma but I love the beach at shell Beach as well as LA Jolla village.

101 North. Carpinteria State Beach, end of Linden Ave cross st Sandyland Rd. There's a few free parking spaces there right on the beach! A great spot with a convertible or truckvertible! It's walking distance to Carpinteria downtown bars and restaurant. From there you can ride your bike going south to Ventura Pier. Or pedal north to Santa Barbara- a lil bit challenging route but the ocean view is spectacular!! You can drive farther north. Goleta Beach and Refugio Beach have ocean view day-use parking. Even farther, yes- go to Pismo Beach to hit the sand dunes and the beach.

+1 Newport Beach. Search Newport Beach RV Dunes Resort. You can find free parking off the street and then ride your bike along the bay.

Is this another "my beach view is better/bigger than your beach view" thread? lol.

It's on the bay, not ocean, but there's Fiesta Island in San Diego. You can park on the sand.
