What's the largest and or best main battery I can get / fit in the Gladiator? Going to delete the aux in the process. I hear you can remove a block off plate to fit a bigger one.

If you want to keep ESS active, I'd recommend keeping the AUX battery in place. We've seen in other threads where the voltage drop from running the system off only the main has the potential to throw error codes.Sooo, H7 (94R) is the way to go.
Looking at X2Power, Oddysey or an Optima Red Top maybe?
If I want to keep my auto stop start i assume a red top would be better than a yellow?
I cant make up for it with a better main battery? Today on the freeway I lost power steering and after reading a bunch of threads people seem to think it could be battery related in the cold temps, trying to simplify my setup. If you want to keep ESS active, I'd recommend keeping the AUX battery in place. I mean you could, but one of the reasons they implemented the 2 battery setup was to avoid voltage drops being experienced in the single setup. Most evidence points to the running electronics being sensitive to these drops during ESS restarts, and perhaps overly-so. No doubt the AUX is a band-aid for the larger problem, but that also doesn't mean you can get rid of the AUX without reintroducing the risk of seeing the problem it was meant to mitigate. Disabling ESS gets rid of that risk.I cant make up for it with a better main battery? Makes sense, appreciate it. I'll probably stop using ESS, hood plunger and fuse 42 for that right?I mean you could, but one of the reasons they implemented the 2 battery setup was to avoid voltage drops being experienced in the single setup. My advice has always been that if you remove the AUX, stop using ESS as well. It's the safest combination.
Fuse 42 and just press the button on the dash (or use an eliminator, which would be your best bet). Hood plunger will give you a warning light on the dash.Makes sense, appreciate it. I'll probably stop using ESS, hood plunger and fuse 42 for that right?
The largest that will fit is a 94R. Since they are paralleled together, removing the Aux battery actually reduces your capacity. What's the largest and or best main battery I can get / fit in the Gladiator?
