Ive found a general interest in tires and how the can drastically change the feel of a vehicle. So im curious, what tires do you have/want that you think give the best performance and MPG?

I personally love my 255/75/17 Bridgestone Dueler AT tires. I just wish they tread life was better than 400, with towing they wear quicker than id like.

what do you folks like?

Any pics would also be cool.

I'm still running the factory 255/70/18 Bridgestone Dueler HTs on mine. Around 21K on them with towing and they're holding up quite well...surprisingly for factory tires. My Wife's 2019 GC Ltd. with the factory Michelins is going to need tires in about another 10K or so miles (she's around 28K now, not surprised).

As for my Gladiator, I'm thinking of Hankook Dynapro ATMs in a 275/70/18 (or as close to that size as I can get). I've had these Hankooks before and they're extremely quiet and a great tread pattern for the messy stuff. I had them on my '08 GC Overland (Hemi) and went through a foot and a half of snow with a couple inches of frozen rain on top with no issues...just playing in my yard at that time ;) which was pretty big....like 2 acres. And, my fuel economy was not impacted. They were larger than factory and, I also had a 1.5" lift in it so, did the speedo correction and all was good with almost no change in fuel economy.

I do want the slightly wider tire for a better foot print while towing even though, the factory tires on her right now do quite well in that regard.

Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLTs are awesome and offer a 60k warranty. Great as far as MPG go. I have them in 295/70/18 on my stock overland wheel for now although I'm getting new aftermarket 18s soon and I'll keep same tires being they're still new.

Also I've wheeled in them numerous times as well. Obviously they're an AT but they hold up well in all conditions even snow. I strongly stand by them. I'll probably buy them again when time comes.

how heavy are you towing? I like the idea of the HTs but the factory 112 rating (though the factory says its fine) makes me a little nervous. My 255s are a 115 rating.

I've got the stock 18" Overland HT street tires. They are wearing quite well with 40k miles on them. I'm getting ready to swap them with another set of Overland HT take-offs that I bought, which will then give me four decent spares.

Tread is holding up great. The first couple pics are pretty recent as you can see there. But I've only got about 9k on them so far most of which was a recent trip to Florida. But in general I do a five tire rotation every 5k and I'm due for my second one very soon. Like I said I'm getting aftermarket wheels soon and plan to remount them on these same tires since they're holding up great so far. No complaints. Plus they're super quiet on the road. Not a lot of brands offer a 60k mile warranty so they know they're gonna last.

How are they in the mud? Those are e rated. Are they louder or quieter than ko2?

I still have the 17“ Bridgestones that came with the truck. Over the years I’ve had the best results with Michelin LTX on my trucks. That said I bought a small pickup, for small pickup things like taking yard trimmings to the dump, hauling boat stuff, and the dog really needed her own vehicle. Most off road I will be is in an unpaved boatyard, or the town dump.

Waaay quietier than KO2s. One of the quietiest wheels on the market. Big part of why I got them after tons of research.

As far as mud, they aren't a mud terrain obviously. But they aren't terrible. I recently went to Windrock Park in Tn, hit a few badge trails although it was a dry day that place still holds mud in a lot of ruts (few of the pics are from there). But I also been to Redbird SRA this time last year which is literally a mud forest and I did a few badge trails within my ability based off my rig, and I was surprised how they performed and that was probably the most mud I've ever been in. They can cake up a little bit due to being an AT with different tread pattern. But as mentioned, they are a great all around tire. I obviously spend more time on pavement so I personally didnt want to cater to being off road. But at the same time, I wanted something that when I am offroad, can tackle stuff within reason and these do for me.

I did a bunch of research prior but this is one of the better reviews on Youtube that helped me. He put a lot of miles and different conditions on them:

My trailer is 27' and around 5,100 lbs with all we want or need to take with us.
