I’ve never treated them with anything. Keep them clean if they get caked with dirt; that’ll last you several years, and if they get past the point of no return, installing replacement seals is easy and cheap. Practicing preventative maintenance will not net you much life on them, as they’re inherently low maintenance.

It really is the easiest course of action lol. People have issues with leaking, but it’s very often an improperly installed seal or panel. My jk seals lasted 8 years before I swapped tops, and they were still serviceable. My wife’s 2008 is still going strong
