Bestop Supertop compatibility with Datin Bed Rack

Hi Jeepsters,
I am interested in purchasing a bed canopy and putting a bed rack over the top of it.
Datin Metal Fabricators make one that fits with the Softopper brand canopy, however I can only access the Bestop Supertop for Truck 2 in Australia.

Can any one tell me whether they are running with the Bestop canopy and if it works as easily as it does with the Softopper brand.

I looked at the Datin Fab rack on softoppers website and it says it is not compatible with the Bestop Supertop. Bummer because I was wanting to go the same route as you. My Supertop for Truck will be here on Wednesday.

Thanks for letting me know...I spoke with the owner of Datin a few weeks ago and he had never tested it out. Glad I didn't go to the expense of importing it to Australia only to find it wouldn't fit.. The Bestop is nice. My only negative was that I can't seem to get the creases out of the side panels...otherwise it's great..
I might have to custom fabricate something here.

Thanks Joe, I just sent them an enquiry..hopefully it works for Bestop not just Softopper...Thats twice now I have seen a rack with compatibility with softopper. Not sure why this is, as I would have thought Bestop was a better more widely available product, cheers Nathan

For those of you wondering and for future reference, Xtrusion Overland does indeed make a rack that'll fit over the BT Supertop on the Gladiator. It just needs to be a pinch taller sitting at 25". When you buy your rack just be sure to select "wide wing brackets" for the bed rail brackets and select custom height. Then in the comments part when you check out just write in "gladiator and bestop supertop combo at 25" height". The team over there seem to have exceptional customer service and offer many discounts to US military, first responder and teachers.

And honestly, as a teacher myself, this is unheard of. Teachers are usually never thought of for special discounts from companies like this. So they will most certainly be getting my business.
