whats the biggest tires you can put on the 17 inch rubicon wheels?

You can run 35s. It’ll look a little funny, but lots of people do it.

You will need spacers to do so without rubbing. I recommend Spidertrax.

You can run 35s. It’ll look a little funny, but lots of people do it.

You will need spacers to do so without rubbing. I recommend Spidertrax.
I’ll be doing this as well, why do you recommend the Spidertrax over the Synergy or Quadratrec

Since the question is specific to tires/wheels, and independent of the need for a lift:
You can run 37x12.50s on stock wheels. If you have a Rubicon or Max Tow, both with the wider axles, owners are reporting that they don’t rub the control arms, even without spacers.

Stock Rubicon wheels are 7.5” wide but most tire manufactures recommend an 8.5” wheels for 35’s and larger. I’ve never heard of any failures but you may run into trouble with some shops that simply refuse to mount anything bigger than the stock 33’s
