Had doors and top off the last weekend. Noticed the alert but assumed it was because doors were off. Put doors back on...when I start up the Jeep after a few seconds the passenger door triangle comes on and I get the "Blind Spot Detection temporarily unavailable" Did some google searches and looked on JL boards. checked out wiring plug for that door and pins...all seem good. Door does show open/closed in the display and windows/etc are working. But not blind spot. Anyone else have some things to check before I take it to dealer?

Hi J.R.,
I see you are reaching out to your fellow forum members for advice; however, if you do decide to visit your dealer, please feel free to send our team a private message. We would be happy to get you connected with a Case Specialist to assist.

Thanks, did that on the passenger door as that's the one that is showing the error..however I'll do it on all the doors just in case. Hate to bug the dealer if it's THAT simple of a fix. Hadn't thought to do all the doors again.

@ATXGLADIATOR2020 you win! Didn't even think to check the driver door plug. The light was coming on in the passenger door. Sure enough took the driver connector off and found a slightly bent pin. Fixed it and plugged it back in and all back to normal again. MAN are those pins sensitive. I'm going to have to remember that in the future.

@JeepCares Thanks to this forum all better and no trip to the dealership necessary.

Same thing here. Took the doors off and got the error after putting them back on. Passenger mirror light but it was the driver door w 2 bent pins. Hard as hell to get in the floor board to see in the connector. I used a flat head and popped the connector off the mount so I could see inside it.

Thanks for the help.

So I had the same issue with my Driver Door last week and it was a bent pin, corrected it no problem. Now, my passenger door has the issue but the pins are good and it wont go away no matter how many times I disconnect and reconnect the plug. Any help appreciated. I feel this was a poor design as why make something so susceptible to fault that is going to be repeatedly take on and off?
