Body Color Fenders with Max Tow Package - When did that disappear?

When I first started planning out my build body colored fenders were part of the max tow package. It was actually one of the reasons I went with the Sport S with the Max Tow package. Now it looks like it no longer comes that way? When did that happen? I seriously would have reconsidered ordering as I did had I seen that.

Never was an option, you are confusing the fact that it said "molded in color" that is what all plastic fenders are called. Painted fenders are Rubicon and Overland only and always were

They never had body colored fender flares. It came with molded-in-color fender flares, which are still black and wider to accommodate the widetrack 44’s.

I saw it on the web site when I ordered my max tow and was surprised when I picked up a Red Jeep with black fenders. Went back to the web site and low and behold it didn't say that any more.

You misread it, never said it came with color fenders but molded in color fenders. Not the same thing.

"molded in color fender flares" = Really misleading. I get now that the color is part of the mold, meaning black plastic. But why point that out? The Sport S already comes with molded in color fenders so that is not new. Now if they said wider fenders with DRLs or something that makes sense. I am guessing customers stirred up a sh*t storm and that is what it is not part of the description now.

I also wonder if 2019 Wrangler fenders would fit. I suspect up front would but I wonder if they would fit out back?

You could always get your fenders painted after getting the truck. I plan on getting my top painted after the fact. I don't see the fenders being all that expensive to get painted.

I would do that in a minute if they were smooth plastic, but they have a textured finish. I don't think it would look very good painted and to smooth it out would be lot's of work.
