Wasnt 100% sure where to post this.

Anyways I was installing my ACE engineering rock sliders today. Followed instructions on YouTube video. Got passenger side done and all is well.
Started removing body mount bolt on front driver side. Got the bolt about 1/3 inch out and all of a sudden it broke in two.
I searched other threads on here and apparently this has happened to other people. But I can’t find anywhere if this was or should be covered under warranty or not.

I took it to local Jeep dealer and the guy in service department told me it wouldn’t be covered because I was attempting to modify the vehicle. He was not much help at all. Should I pursue this with another dealer? Just suck it up and take it to a body shop and pay out of pocket to have them get the stuck bolt out?

Thanks for any advice in advance.

I think a body shop is going to be your best bet. Others may be able to offer suggestions on how to fix it yourself.

I’ll try to do it tomorrow. I actually ventured over to the JL forum and there is a 36 page thread over there on this exact issue. Skimming through it now.
Thanks.
