Figured I would start a build thread, more so I can keep up with my mods than anything but feel free to follow along. I wouldn't consider myself hardcore so you won't see many technical (suspensions, engine, etc) mods being done. I am more of a looks and creature comfort type of guy. More to come but excited to get going. Here it is after a few miles on it.

Item 1 (one of the first things I ordered), replacing the awful factory fishing pole antennae. Went with a rydonair 13 inch from Amazon. I rarely listen to FM but so far zero issues with those stations that I do listen to.

More basic stuff but putting things on as they come in the mail.

Jeep rubber mats and a red rear tow hook. Red accents will be an ongoing theme

Today was a busy day. First up, few things for the kiddos. Rugged ridge sill protectors and go rhino running boards so they can get in (3 and 6 years old). Not a huge fan of the go rhino boards, not sure if it's the white body but don't loke seeing the mounts. Also it doesn't sit flush with the body like I was hoping.

Lastly installed an oedro trifold soft top. Took a chance on a cheaper cover after having some other items from this company on my old colorado. Time will tell but initial quality seems good.. White logo an added bonus to match the truck.

Very wise first mods. Definitely enhances your JT. Agree with your assessment of the Go Rhino running boards. Do you think you will keep them?
Do you have a link as to where you purchased your rear red tow hook?
And did you have to remove your rear bumper to install it?
Thanks in advance.

Thanks! I just ordered the tow hook from ebay but I see most mopar sites has it as well. Little pricey for what it is but looks nice.

Install was really easy, 20 minutes. Yes you have to remove the rear bumper but its only 6 bolts and a couple connections for lights, etc. I bought the front ones as well but that process looks much more difficult.

As far as the running boards go, I will keep them for now. I think if I remove the rear mounts I could likely get them a little more flush on the body as I think the brackets used inside are limiting movement of the board themselves when they are near the edge (and narrower) ends of the boards, if that makes sense.

Was tired of not having a mount and with a road trip coming up I needed something. Can't say I love this so far but it works. Not loving how high it mounts the phone and blocks some of my windshield view. Not sure of the legality of it or if I am just asking to be pulled over with my phone being in such clear view

Finally cleared out some space in the garage so I could get the tube doors on and actually keep them on for a few days.

Also installed some paracord handles. 4 on the roll bar for me, one offs on the headrest for the kiddos

Couple items the past few days. First, removed and plasti dipped the fog light trim white. Looks good from a distance but some blemishes up close and you can tell the color difference. Trial run anyways and will paint with some duplicolor or something if I stick with it.

Second, installed the daystar 1.5 front level kit last night. Forgot to do any measuring before/after but it's definitely more level. Still a rake to the front though but much more tolerable.

Couple different installs of these, first I added the AVS rain guards to the windows. Loved the look but the product is horrible, please stay away from. They would not stay in the channels and fell off or moved everytime you moved the window down. Returned and spend the extra money for the weather tech ones. Much better fit and stay in place. I will say I don't like the look as much as the AVS (avs were more black. Weather tech are smoke/clear-ish). Also after driving a few days, they definitely provide a little wind noise in an already loud vehicle. Will see if they stay on or not.

Bunch of random small things over the past few weeks but nothing worthy of its own posts.

AVS front wind/bug guard. Went with AVS 436148 (there are a few for the JT). Overall, I like the look on the white and so far it seems to be helping with bugs on the windshield.

New Jeep emblems on the fenders and new Trail emblem. Wanted to get some red accents on the truck. Also have the lettering for the tailgate but these were such a pain I have no desire to do it right now (getting the glue off is horrible).

Rough Country throttle body. Maybe this is adding a little growl? Maybe it's placebo?

Black door lock guards. Simple and cheap.

Lastly, built a piece of wood to serve as my shopping divider to keep things from rolling all over the bed.

Been a couple weeks since this upgrade but just posting now. Even though I have the upgraded alpine system I was hoping for a little more. Couldn't get the kicker ksc that everyone seems to like so gave the dsc 350's a try since I got them for around 80 for all 4 (front uppers and sound bar)

So far, I'd say sound is negligible, no better no worse. I can't really tell a difference, maybe a little clearer and better highs but nothing significant. For cheap money I am not sweating it but will have to look into higher end speakers on the future.
