This is petty... but annoying nonetheless... last night it was raining cats and dogs. I was backing into the driveway and the camera was totally useless. Totally. BUT, it was at full brightness on the screen. I tried to lower the brightness, but the dial doesn't actually do anything when you are in reverse. I actually played with it a bit and it seems to go full brightness as soon as you go into reverse. Which makes sense, until you don't want it. The glare made it difficult for my eyes to focus on the mirrors.
Not a big deal. I survived :whew:. But it'd be nice if that dial controlled brightness all the time.

Maybe there is a setting... I'll look for it...

There is a screen off button, that would have kinda worked.

Good point. Let me see if it actually responds to that when you are in reverse.
Yeah I was wondering if it doesn’t override the backup cam.

I can’t back up without turning around, old habits die hard.

So reverse overrides everything. Even if the unit is completely off reverse brings up the backup camera at full brightness. Screen off has no effect at all.

Just discovered this last night. No buttons would turn off the screen, and it was bright enough i had a hard time seeing out the mirrors :(
