Surprised no one has a ARB stubby? I like the look of the ARCUS but the 11ga stamped steel construction is super light weight. I would definetly prefer something 3/16" welded construction.

Rugged Ridge Arcus modified for Warn 8274. The 8274 is bigger front to back, so the bumper sits out about 2 more inches. I didn't like the massive tow hooks that came with the Arcus, so retained the stock Rubi red tow hooks and used just a regular D-ring mount.

@TallGuy What D Ring mounts did you use and where did you get them?

Got them at 4 Wheel Parts. Think they’re Teraflex but can’t remember for sure. Rugged Ridge & others on Amazon would work too.

Nice! Wish I would have seen this when I installed my RR Arcus over the weekend. Not a big fan of the massive tow hooks either.

What is the thought process on winch mounting location? Either down in the bumper or sitting on top of it. What are the pros and cons of either and why did you select yours?

Those I have heard are:

Top mounted blocks air flow and leads to cooling issues.
Down inside limits winch options
Down inside protects winch
Down inside is harder to put cover on winch especially if you have UV sensitive synthetic rope
Top mounted offers more light options since there's more real estate within the bumper available

Thanks for these pics. I think I am finally over keeping my factory LED fogs and I think I will be going with this bumper. I like that it flips the sway bar motor and removes the tusks and slides in and covers it all and keeps it clean. I also won’t have to worry about finding a skid plate that will fit to cover those tusks up. If I could do it all over again, I would have bought one with factory steel bumper.

Did you rotate your sway bar motor to the front or backward? Instructions say rearward but illustrate it rolling forward from a top perspective. I don’t have the same spot on the motor to drill like their pic. Someone on YouTube installed it and rolled the motor opposite of their directions and seemed to work but requires extra hardware.

Fishbone Offroad mid-width on my Rubicon. Uses stock LED fog lights. Also, this bumper fits with the Rubicon skid plate. No modifications required.
