"Had they old me that it would take all this for some bigger tires I wouldn't have bothered."

This says it all really. Most that mod their jeep pour immense amounts of time into research to determine what works and if the sacrifices (thrashed paint, dirty all the time, wandering and float etc.) is worth it. It sounds like your assumption was wrong on the tonneau and had you performed a single online search regarding the results when putting an aftermarket exhaust on a pentastar, you would have learned in seconds not to do it.

This sucks that you're having this experience but I wouldn't go bashing a company over it. It reads as though you wanted to look cool without knowing the high daily drivability price you'd pay.

So disappointed in this place. Got a new Jeep Gladiator in January and was excited to mod it and make it mine. I was told these guys knew Jeeps, but all they did was sell me stuff over and over NOT fixing the problems they caused. I trusted them to be my Jeep advisor on this build, and regret it mightily at this point. Spent over 11K here last couple of months and have now had to go to other places to get it all fixed.

Put tires on my Truck (Jeep Gladiator) that aren't appropriate to the Wheels, and stick out beyond the fenders, making a huge mess any time you get off road (and by off road I mean anything not completely dry and concrete - not true off road). These tires caused the Jeep to drive like crap, so it needed to be re-geared to drive normal again (cha-ching). After taking it to Butler tire, turns out the "leveling kit" they stuck me with is completely worthless for my Jeep and wasn't needed. Spent my weekend getting the tires sorted at Butler Tire (where I should have gone to begin with). 6G for new tires (NOT wheels pls note) in the end. Had they old me that it would take all this for some bigger tires I wouldn't have bothered.

Tonneau cover they sourced doesn't allow any kind of storage underneath it, even though I went with the one that had the storage I wanted (Undercover tri fold tonneau so assumed the Undercover swing box would work with it - nope) so it's going to be scrapped to be scrapped and sold off on the Jeep forums. I was very clear about needing storage underneath the tonneau ion the bed, but the guy obv didn't listen to a word I said. Went to Leer truck accessories to order a new tonneau that will fit with storage.

Side rails expose the unfinished pinch welds, never a word of that when I ordered - when I complained about it after picking up after install he was like "what do you want me to do about it"? Once any of this is on your truck - you own it SUCKER! Now I need to pull off and sell $2500 side rails (again way high on the labor charges - 6 hours to install side rails??)

I had to order a flowmaster muffler to cut into the super cheap, low end drone like buzz of an exhaust they put on my truck. Why in the world he thought a 50+ yo man would want a cheap exhaust that sounds like a 17 yo's Honda Civic riceburner, I have no idea. Just do NOT listen to the customer and order crap that has good margins for them I guess. Another $350 at meineke gone to fix problems they caused. The car gave me a migraine from that "buzz droning" at highway speeds.

Just utterly disgusted by the lack of customer service at this place. Trying to save any of you before you make the same mistakes I did.
You paid $6,000 for a set of Ridge Grappler tires???

Yes, if you count the tires installed, the leveling kit and labor, the re-gearing needed etc. The tires were $400 each.

4.4 stars on google & solid 5 on FB and came as a recco to you... A 4x4 shop can't survive for nearly 20 years in GA unless they are stellar.
I wouild have agreed, but my experience has not been that.

FB reviews are BS anyway - business pages can delete any reviews they don't like

I agree with others here. You gotta research and go into this stuff with at least minimal knowledge what you are getting into by doing any mods.
My tires stick out from the fenders, it is a tough look. Need to wash a bit more often. But I knew that going in.

So you trust a company that is in the business of making money to tell you what you need to put on your Jeep and DON’T expect them to up sell and fuck you?? Sounds like you didn’t do the proper research and fucked yourself.

Yes I live in your area and no I don’t work for Southern Off-road lol I actually avoid them because their prices are indeed TOO DAMN HIGH. However, someone shouldn’t place all the blame on a business for their OWN lack of research and money saving ability... If I had more hands I’d give this post four thumbs down.

You don’t work at AllSouth in Buford do you??

Karen, not to be an a$$, but it sounds like they gave you what you asked for. You need to research things a little more before pulling the trigger. I hope you get your Gladiator how you want it...

I have visited there before and didn’t get the feeling it was a place I wanted to do business. They were nice enough but just something about them. Horses for courses.

I called 2 Jeep focused mechanic shops today to get some pricing on installing some Rusty’s sliders and a small (not spacer) lift.

Long story long, I had a great discussion with Drew at Off-Road Mafia in Ball Ground. They are very familiar with Rusty’s products, install them often and gave me some great options (without trying to oversell me) to consider. It makes me feel good when the shop knows exactly how products are installed, can explain it without thinking and don’t give me a wild estimate to do so.

I’ll be happy to share feedback on them when done but I’ve already heard good things from someone I know who’s had work done there.
