Picked up my 2022 Gobi Rubicon this morning and when i got home i noticed this bracket on the passenger side front hanging under the frame. It looks like it’s just bolted to the frame. I have looked at pics on here and didn’t really see one but back at the dealership the other Rubicon’s had them along with 1 Sport. The Mojave didn’t have it either.

That's not OEM. Did you ask your dealership?

Its OEM i have a pic of it when it came off the truck. I did ask the dealer and they were unsure as to what it was. 3 other Rubicons and 1 Sport on the lot also had them.

Looks like it has a part number on it? I can’t make out the beginning.

It's probably some sort of tie down they're supposed to remove on PDI
Thats exactly what i was thinking.

Thats not a good part #. (R100728) There are some more #'s on another side of it but you cant read them due to the body mount. May pull it off and see if i can find a good part #.

I too have seen this, but on a Mojave before I got my 2022 Mojave and mine does not have this. My only thought was SOMEthing to do with having a manual transmission?!? I have no idea otherwise. Mind you, this is my very first Jeep and less than 350 miles on him. Still curious though.
I ordered mine March 12th.

Well if it's on both sides it would do wonders on stopping rocks from flinging down the bottom of vehicle. 🤔

Only on passenger side. I am hearing it is for better crash test results. Its a tire deflector for a front end collision.

That seems like a silly assessment (not you - generally speaking), seeing how I’ve seen two Mojaves and 1 having it. Your mentions too.

Silly maybe, but I could see why it’s on the higher clearance models for crash safety…Rubi and Mojave.

In the case of a frontal collision where the tire shifts, the plate could stop it from going underneath and causing a roll/flip (like the lower clearance sport model below).

Im just spitballin ideas here. I have no clue. I also don’t see why that plate would only be on one side to prevent the roll. My guess is that the passenger side of the axle moves more in a collision than the driver side. However, I would find that surprising given that the passenger side of the axle is where the track bar connects to it. I also don’t know shit about crash tests so there’s that too 🤷🏾‍♂️

Some Rubicon/Mojave having whatever it is and some not. My 2022 Mojave does not. The one Mojave I mentioned was also brand new and on an auto carrier (having whatever it is). That’s why it seems like a silly assessment. Why not on all of the same [newer/newly built] models…

If it was a production released part, I would have expected it to have the standard MOPAR 10 segment digit/letter format with the trail last two letter suffix for the revision in addition to the Chrysler Pentastar logo.
