Found a good deal on a wheel tire combo but they're 16" wheels. I thought I read somewhere that the JT rotors were too big to fit 16s. Cant find any info on it. Thanks in advance.

With spacers anything is possible. Without them...NO.

My understanding is no, minimum diameter is 17" to clear the brake calipers. Anything smaller will hit.

I ran 15s and 16s on my JKUs, but on the JT I just don't see it happening. The 17s just barely clear those massive rotors.

Why? 16" tire choices are becoming limited.

Add the cost of spacers and the bargain really starts to look like short term savings in exchange for long term headaches.

Less cost, more sidewall, more options, more load ratings to pick from just to name a few.

I did prefer the 15s over the 16s though...even more LT-C rated tires available and MUCH less expensive. Granted that was several years ago last time I bought some...haven't checked pricing lately.

Only reason I was considering the 16s is because I found someone selling some cheap near me.

Heck my wheel weights hit the caliper it’s that close to the stock wheel. No way I could fit a smaller wheel on it.

Confirm, putting on the 17s from stock 18s I noticed how little clearance on the brakes there is. Worth it bc these are the best Jeep brakes ever.
