Just curious for those who have moved from stock, 33's over to 35's. Is there a big difference in effort to say change a flat tire and the gear needed. Am thinking of moving to 35's but as I get older I must face the music that things are a bit more troublesome each year.

You will likely notice the weight difference even going to 315/70-17’s (34.4”…in the case of my BFG A/T’s).

Toss a 2” x 6” block in your recovery gear in case you need a bit of extra lift on the jack depending on how your ride is sitting.

If you’re like me (iffy back)…you just have to find a way to work smarter, not harder. I.e. Roll and Scoot/drag the tire vs. attempting to straight up muscle it around like you’re still 20, lol.

Not all 35's are the same, and weights vary considerably, depending on the tire build.
C class tires are light and softer, but may not be ideal for towing or harsh rocky roads and trails.

BFG K02's in 35 weigh just a few pounds (63) more per tire than the stock Wildpeak AT3's (59 lbs)
Two pounds more than Falken MT's 33 inch.

IMO, anything above a 33 is a major pain. My 37's especially with my choice of wheel are a big pain and I'm only 30. I'm sure with practice and motivation though, we can all do them with 0 issues.

when i read the torque specs at 130 ft lbs for the lug nuts, IDK why they even put hand tools in the jack kit. lol

im in 35's too ( almost 35 KO2 315....) pro and cons : the look for sure if I could I would go in 37's all terrain ( but not available in Europe)
cons : im not an expert but I think 35 should be the moment when you think about regearing ( but its my opinion , probably expert will have a better advice)
again if rehearing isn't so damn expansive here in Belgium ( +/- 3500$ for parts and labor) I would definitely try it .
lets say that im 95% happy

I used an edging shovel the first time I mounted my 35s.

For me. the jump from 33s to 35s is the difference between being able to sit down and lift them into place and needing some help.

I've got a jack handle off an old failed Harbor Freight "racing" jack under my rear seat. That will work. I'm going to test that in about a month when I put my snows on the truck.

I agree the torque specs can be tough to break loose. I was changing a tire on a Honda I came upon a couple of weeks ago on my way back from hiking the mountain in the morning. The Honda had lug bolts that would not budge. I said wait let me check my truck where I had a cargo keeper I used for a breaker bar that made it easy peasy.

First thing I did when I got my JT. Put a 6 point deep well socket and breaker bar under the rear seat. This is for the lug nuts.

I'm 66, looking at 67. I been dealing with 37" tires for years on my Power Wagon. I use a long pry bar under the tire to lift it up to the studs. Put the pry bar in place, roll the tire on the pry bar and lift.

I did something similar. Except I caught a Harbor Freight sale and bought a 1/2 in drive torque wrench for $15. It's 18" long so it makes a great breaker bar.

I know you shouldn't use torque wrenches as breaker bars, but this lives in my truck and would only be used as a breaker bar if I get a flat.

My old car's wheels were torqued to 90 ft-lbs, so the Jeep is quite a bit more.
