The Cool Tech Powerport Kit is used to convert the front 12V accessory port to constant power instead of ignition power.

is there a way for the 12v power port to have power all the time? I am going to set my Gladiator up to be flat flowed behind our motorhome.

Run a 12V wire from the RV to the JT to keep battery charged and install a 12V power plug. I put one under the seat. Plug in my brake buddy and go.

Assuming you do not have Aux switches and cannot use the direct to battery wire in the passenger side foot well, then just buy and install one of these CoolTech, goodies.

Can you please point me to anywhere I can learn more details about the direct to battery wire in the passenger footwell - how to locate and identify it, and what amperage of fusing it runs on? I do not have the Aux switches and I had not been aware that there is unswitched power in this area and it could ne handy for a project that I want to do. Thanks

There's a link to the installation instructions. The circuit breaker is a self-resetting (type 1) 15A breaker.

The wire he's talking about is part of the Auxiliary Switches.
