Starting a thread about dash wraps. There are other threads about swapping out for the OEM stitched leather panels...and another thread about custom painting your dash to match exterior color.
So let’s not mix those dash concepts into this VINYL or LEATHER dash wrap thread.
Really don’t like the red Rubicon dash except on Gobi or Sting Gray exterior paint. My truck is going to be Bright White. And my wife hates the idea of a red dash in any color.
So I’m thinking about re-covering my red Rubicon dash in either:
- brushed metal look wrap
or
- satin black wrap (to match the partial hood and tailgate blackouts I’m planning)
If vinyl wrapped I can convert back to red OEM at a later date.
Other option is just nice black leather...but that means gluing the leather which is a permanent change.
Can’t be that hard to remove and wrap the two dash panels as a DIY job for less than $75.
Below are photos of dark brushed metal wraps.
