I bought a $60K vehicle because i wanted it. It will do 2X more than I will ever use. I don't care. It took me 2 hours to set the garage door opener for it. Everything I use on it works. It's got a 7 year warranty and when that's over my relationship with it will end.

You have to add the Jeep Uconnect skill on the Alexa app.
Bingo - that's it, thanks for the reminder.

All unreasonable to expect a customer shopping for a vehicle to do before purchasing, if possible at all. Had a Ford with similar functionality as well. They create your account and tie it to your vin in order for those functions to be testable.
No one said anything about doing before buying...............
I was simply saying that if he has the 8.4 radio system, then he simply needs the app on his phone. He's already bought. No need to test. I was responding to the comments about needing to set things up in the radio. No, not necessary. Install the app (after you buy the vehicle of course.
IF it's not working, then he needs to contact the dealer.
No one did anything for me as far as setting things up.
I never mentioned installing the app and testing before buying. Why would you - or even need to?
No one said anything about testing.
You look at the info when buying, or ask.

I think the OP's beef is he bought the 7" radio expecting all the features of the 8.4" one because the glossy one page ad on the website that shows everything you MIGHT have doesn't clearly say you need the optional 8.4 radio. Just like it doesn't say hydroblue is an option, bedliner is an option, max tow is an option, automatic trans is an option, etc, etc, etc. He's mad because he ASSumed an option was standard equipment because it was mentioned in a digital brochure without CLEARLY saying it (and everything else) may be options depending on trim level and packages.

Personally, if I was the type to blame others for everything, I'd be madder at Jeep for not CLEARLY warning me that my new Jeep requires a different type of coolant than most other vehicles, and that the coolant every auto parts store says is "compatible with ALL vehicles" apparently is NOT compatible with my Gladiator. Just learned that one yesterday after 26,000 miles. But that's my fault for not reading the specs closer, and I just ordered a gal of concentrate to have on hand if I need it. I certainly don't blame Jeep or my dealer.

Although I’ve closed my previous JLURD user account and unsubscribed from the emails multiple times, I STILL get the owner’s vehicle health report emails for that Jeep. I hope the current owners doesn’t mind that some random person gets to see their tire pressure and vehicle status in a monthly email. What a bunch of dopes at Uconnect and Mopar who are responsible for the connected services.

If you buy a used vehicle with Uconnect, better sign up online and claim the VIN. If not, someone else could still have access to it, which is not good.

But that's decades old advertising. It's on TV, magazines, the web and has been for years. The fine print usually says "with available xxxxxxx" - it does on the TV commercials if you watch closely. If GM shows something really cool, down where you won't notice it is "with available whatever".
It's really interesting here because the differences in the radio "sizes" have been covered for as long as they've had those, there's a reason other than just screen size, and it does say "with available......." on the web page.

No, not really different from most modern vehicles. It actually gets confusing when you compare Ford, GM, Chrysler and others with OAT, HOAT and other stuff.
I've had this OAT coolant on hand for a while......... this isn't the first or only that uses OAT.
GM and VW use OAT, I think maybe Honda even uses OAT. Ford uses HOAT. Be careful as the web has several places that specify that Chrysler uses HOAT but Jeep obviously does not. And do not mix HOAT and OAT just like don't mix universal or IAT coolant.

It has been around for a few years anyway. I noticed it years ago in one of our prior Grand Cherokees.

I could be a stinker and say -it does warn you with the yellow attention symbol and image of a book..... and that orange color - what's up with THAT?

Yea, saw it in there, but only yesterday after the post about the guy who overheated. Of course I haven't needed to add any yet, but truthfully if I did I probabably woulda just grabbed the normal stuffI have on hand that literally says "FOR ALL VEHICLES" on the front. Looks like the JK might use it too, though I have not needed to do anything (knock on wood) to the cooling system on that yet either. In any case I ordered a gal of the concentrate yesterday off Amazon, and I'll have the wife pick up 2 gal of distilled water when she goes shopping. So I'll have it if I need it. But like I said, I blame me not knowing about it on me. I don't blame Jeep for not trying harder to tell me. But now I wonder, does the coolant cap say anything? I'll have to look.

'22 comes with 7". It's the 5.4" (or whatever) that was retired.
I thought the 2022 came standard with the 8.4 screen. Maybe that is just the Rubicon.

Pictographs, hieroglyphics, whatever - an image of a book and a ! in a triangle.......

This is why I decided to not use the "works in any engine" or "universal" coolant -

I didn't want to deal with flushing out this complex system or paying my first born to have a dealer do it - on the other hand, maybe the latter wouldn't be a bad deal........

I have always received a survey - until the last visit when they told me "ABS doesn't function under 35 mph, that's normal" and "it's likely due to all the stuff you have connected causing a draw on the batteries" when it was my winch ground cable, and they moved it from one ground post to another (on the same cable!!!) to "fix" the draw and I argued with them that a winch with a cutoff switch can't draw anything any more than the lamp in your bedroom does when you turn the switch off.
No survey LOL
Too bad, I'd have really told them what a fool the tech was and that he needed to go to school and take "basic electricity 101" classes.
Seriously? Moving a winch ground cable from one ground post to another will fix a draw - with that big red cutoff switch sitting right next to the cable ya moved?
Did he even TEST for parasitic draw? OR did he see a cable there and didn't figure out what it was for and assumed?
People like that are one reason I quit, got out of that field. I couldn't handle dealing with that sort of thing in the next bay.
Where do they get these people, under a rock? I have a PhD in geology and geochemistry, but the best course I ever took in high school was auto shop - two semesters. When I went in the Marines and was assigned to track vehicle maintenance school, I finished first in my class because of those two courses. That and typing were the best courses I took in high school. Can't remember what else I took, but I'm 72 and my memory was the first, no second, no third thing to go. Can't remember.

I don't know what the process was for everyone else, but I came into the dealer with a list of features for a Rubicon that I wanted. They put the list in the system, brought me the order sheet, I checked it, made some changes, and it went in February 25, and it still isn't built, but I expect that when I finally get it sometime in 2023 everything will be what I wanted, because I checked it three times before they put the order in. It's been five weeks. I wish they'd build the damn thing so I could start complaining about other stuff when I get it!
